RFP Specialist (Contractor)

The function of the RFP coordinator is to source, qualify and prepare Up&Up’s responses to requests for proposals. You will work with our strategic sales leads to formulate our approach per RFP, and then complete our proposal, adhere to the RFP guidelines and ensure we technically check all boxes and deliver the proposal on time. As a side benefit, the RFP coordinator should both work and improve our RFP process to be as efficient and effective as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Source RFPs. Ensure that we are aware of as many (pre-qualified) RFP opportunities as possible
  • Qualify. Determine if an RFP is a qualified opportunity
  • Prepare. Prepare winning responses that get Up&Up selected as finalists
  • Package and Send. To effectively assemble the RFP package and deliver before deadline
  • Report and Improve. Use Up&Up’s process to complete RFP’s, and improve the process, templates, estimating, etc. along the way to make the process as effective and efficient as possible.

Requirements

  • Solution Oriented. Ability to Deduce requirements from the RFP and craft an appropriate solution (brand, marketing, web)
  • Technically Advanced. You are comfortable working with cloud-based platforms, mac based environment
  • Sales or Business Development Experience
  • RFP Experience. You can demonstrate successful track record of responding to RFP’s.
  • Local to Greenville, SC

Preferred Candidates will have:

  • Mac Experience, Especially with Keynote
  • Agency Experience
  • Experience in Higher Education Marketing

Summary

The position pays $20/hr with incentive bonuses for being selected as a finalist. The position requires 20-30 hours per week and although being in the office will be advantageous, working from home is feasible.
